As the product name states, this bikini is made of gauze. It is not for the shy. It’s sheer when wet, so it’s really meant to be worn in more secluded beaches/pools.

It’s okay enough, if you want to be a bit more daring. But, it was disappointing that for the price I paid, the gauze wasn’t very high quality. It’s pretty scratchy, which is bad for a bikini. I had to launder it twice with lots of fabric softener to make it more comfortable.

I also had a problem with the fit of the bottom. The top is okay enough, but since the fabric has no stretch or cling (that’s gauze for you), the bottom tends to sag and bunch in odd places. The only way I think it would fit properly, is if you have a sizable butt. In lieu of returning the whole thing, I asked the seller (Bikinimo Swimwear) to replace the full bottom that comes with this item with a g-string version from the same manufacturer. They were very responsive, and I just received it. Fits much better, since there’s obviously less fabric.

All in all, a less than satisfying purchase, but serves its purpose.
